fcp to qt to compressor give me artifacts where fcp to compressor does not
just that
working in a 8 bit kona 525 29.97 timeline, export qt movie same settings, open movie in fcp lookis fine.
bring the movie into compressor, use best 4×3 dvd 90 mins, and the disc i make looks like the fileds are reversed
any ideas?
(its a real pain cuz the only way i can accurately see the compressor result is to make a dvd and play it on a set top box. when will kona work with dvd studio? nab?)

Bob,
It looks like the fields are reversed because they are reversed — the 2-pass VBR setting is to blame — its broken. Go into the preset and change to CBR and you’ll be good, and its not an inferior encode either.
So Bob, in then old days of Edit* I’ll bet you never envisioned getting FCP help from me…
