I am tired of FCP 7 and X is not an option.

I want to cut on Premiere CS5 (I have the 5.5 suite but I think Premiere stayed the same at 5) but I am having a small issue that would seem trivial but it irks me terribly.

When i’m in the timeline of Premiere I can’t scroll up and down with the scroll wheel and I am so accustomed to that in FCP that it’s difficult to go without it.

I’ve asked around and searched online but I have yet to be availed of this little detail.

    Thanks,

Hover your mouse over the scroll bar, then you can scroll up and down.

Like Kevin said, you have to either (1) Use the scroll bars on the right side of the timeline in a traditional click fashion, or (2) Hover over the scroll bars and scroll with your mouses scroll wheel.

FCP7 had a better scrolling interaction to be sure, but you’ll get used to it. Or, if you’re like me, you’ll just curse every time you have to move your mouse all the way over to the little scroll bars just to do a simple scroll.
