I am having a major issue with a current project I am working on. I have logged and captured over 70 hours of footage in FCP 6 for a client. I was under the impression that the client had FCP 6 as well, however he has the newest version of FCE. Now that all of the capture is done he wants to review the footage and start assembling a ruff cut. I had planned on giving him the drive back with all of the media and the project file so he could just open the project file and begin working. However there seems to be no way to save a FCP project file so that FCE will open it!! Does anyone know of a way to make it possible to open up a FCP project file in FCE? I have tried to save it like you would for an earlier version of FCP by using the XLM method but still no luck. I want to try to avoid making my client upgrade his software if possible. Any suggestions would be helpfull.

What format was the footage captured as in FCP 6?

This is important because FCE is extremely limited on the formats it can work with.
