    Hi,

I have a project, and am only using stills, no footage. The project will be output to dvd to be played on a hdtv plasma monitor. I have only worked in DV, so am lost on what preset to use for the timeline, and how to output the final dvd.

    Thanks for any help.

You say you are putting it on a DVD, I assume that you mean a SD DVD, not a HD DVD, then you do it the same as you do any other SD DVD. Export using compressor and then assemble in DVD SP.

if you want to actually show the video in HD then you will not be able to play it from a device that will actually play HD video.

    Thanks,

Yes it will be output to a SD DVD. I found a thread on another forum that explained the process of making a dvd. I am still wondering what the best timeline settings are to use. I am currently working on the project with the HDTV 720p (16:9) preset:

    Frame size: 1280×720
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square
    Anamorphic is “NOT CHECKED”
    Frame Rate: 24 fps
    Compressor: Photo – JPEG
    Quality: 100%

    Audio: 48kHz 16bit
