FCP text issues
Im a student working on a senior project and ive run into issues with my titles and credits.
Im trying to get smaller text and thing arent flowing easily.
As I set up my text under the controls tab, the words look fantastic in my canvas. Then I render the clips, and one of two things happens everytime: 1)when I play the clip in my timeline, the text shows up in the canvas extremely pixelated and distorted. 2) when I play the clip in my timeline the text is cut in half, and every other frame is the opposite half of the word. that way when it is played, it comes out blurry and pixelated also.First, I check my playback settings to makesure that it was set to high quality. Then, I exported and burned the clips to a DVD to check and see if it was just my computer screen. I tested on both a television and a projector, and the text looked the same as in the FCP canvas.
What can I do to get better, more consistent text while maintaining a small size?

Video (DV, in particular) and small type do not mix well.

Are you using the Boris titler? If not do so.
What version of FCP and what size are the titles you a trying to use?KB

FCP title tool is terrible. Check out Title 3D in the Boris menu. Much better quality, even though it is not WYSIWYG.

The version I am using is FCP 4.5 and im wanting around a 12 to 14 pt font. the font im using right now is called Song.

I actually tried using Apple Livetype. that turned out even worse, but thats with me not being very livetype savvy.
