We use raylight files inside FCP! We’ve recently deleted a lot of the mxf files thhat these raylight files are referencing. Now FCP takes forever to load and gives us zero error messages. We’ve removed the files in FCP that are offline but the project still takes forever to load.

    Any thoughts?

Could the app be looking for files referenced on old sequences? Maybe you deleted the files in your bins, but are still holding on to old sequences that used these files.

I am having a similar problem except for the fact that I reset FCP to open with a blank project and FCP still takes forever to start (like an hour). Theoretically it shouldn’t even be looking for these .mxf raylight files but I have the feeling it still is. F**# RAYLIGHT!!!! If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

I’ve trashed prefs about 600 times already.
