  • FCP “Switching live” between video tracks?

Hello, I understand that FCP offers a way to load multiple video tracks in the timeline, allowing the editor to “switch live” from one “camera” to the another. What is this function called in FCP? And if I can’t find it in my manual, how is it accomplished?

I shot a “panel of experts” with three cameras, genlocking the time code for each, and want to expedite the edit process.

    Thank you.

    Bill

Multicam editing. It’s available in v5 or later.

    All the best,

    Tom

honestly, i’ve found hat just syncing them ina timeline, unlinking them, finding the good audio, and just razorblading is the fastest way i know. i cut a lot of “panels” and thats the tried and true method.
