  FCP Studio guy needing workflow advice (Premiere/Encore)

  hey folks,

  FCP guy here who still does a reasonable amount of DVD authoring, but has moved over to Adobe CC.

  My method for making DVDs in FCP studio was to take sequences in FCP, add chapter markers there, export QT reference, import into compressor & use proper DVD encode preset. Then import M2C and Ac3 files after compression into DVDSP for multiplex & Burn.

  What I want to know is the workflow to do that using Premiere, media Encoder, and Encore. I tried exporting from Premiere to encoder, used the DVD MPEG2 preset, encoded, then sent to encore. But I’m getting errors messages and apparently a SECOND transcode I’m trying to avoid.

  Anybody set me straight? Much appreciated.
