FCP Studio 2 on MacBook non-pro
I’ve a MacBook (non-pro) and FCP5 and the whole Studio-1-suite functions very well. Even Motion is able to do some easy things. (And they render, but slow)
So, whats up with Studio2 (to be exact the FCP6 part of this package) – does it run on my 2GHz CoreDuo with 2GB RAM? Please don’t tell me the screen is small and its not recommed, I won’t do much on that machine. My idea is to capture, rough cut the things and give them to a higher-rated Power/Mac/pro. Or vise-versa to copy a whole project (fully rendered) and take it with me for client-presentation.
I know the tech-specs from Apple, but what’s up with the real-world –
Has anyone tested the abilities of a MacBook non-pro?PC: AMD64 3200+, 1 GB DDR400-RAM, 2 TB 4-hdd-RAID-0, nVidia Geforce 6800 w/ 256MB || Macintosh: MacBook dual 2GHz CoreDuo, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD; Dual 1,8GHz G5, 1,5GB RAM, 400GB HDDs, ATI 9600PRO; Dual 1 GHz G4, 1 GB RAM 220 GB HDDs, nVidia Geforce 4 MX w/ 64 MB
