FCP Studio 2 crash upon launch (tracked it to Vector Shape.Bundle)
I’ve been having this problem for a while.
Final Cut will crash when I try to open a project that has used the Vector Shape.bundle plug in that I think is part of the Boris that come with Final Cut.I get the following error when the plug in is in the plug in folder.
When I remove it from the plug in folder I get this message…
This has never really been an issue since we don’t use that to much, but this was a project the was done out of house and then the time line and footage was sent to us on a Harddrive.
How can I resolve this?

Sounds like FCP is getting stuck looking for an after effects plugin used in a sequence in this project that you do not have on your system.. This normally should not cause a crash, but fcp’s ae support isn’t really great
Andreas has a thread below where he wrote an app that can remove all references to a plugin from your sequence… Perhaps it might be helpful to you
