Color allows you to set a ref on one clip and measure that against another.

Oh forgot one thing

February 17, 2009 at 4:04 pmI have two samples to compare, where they’ve been reported to have differing black levels. (one is from us, the other from Anystream Agility; both from same Avid QT reference source.)
i’ve checked for any gamma level settings in the QT files themselves, and they weren’t assigned.
we match a simple QT export (via QT Pro), which isn’t surprising because we use the same QT APIs under the hood.
but, Anystream Agility is somehow matching the original Avid source more accurately, so they must be doing some rescaling or adjustment.
