[doug tessler] “Is there a way to read rgb values in two different clips . In this case just color bars I am trying to match up
How do i adjust the black levels so they are the same “

    its called a waveform.

Color allows you to set a ref on one clip and measure that against another.

YES NOT color bars from a camera these were reference color bars from two sources.

I have two samples to compare, where they’ve been reported to have differing black levels. (one is from us, the other from Anystream Agility; both from same Avid QT reference source.)

i’ve checked for any gamma level settings in the QT files themselves, and they weren’t assigned.

we match a simple QT export (via QT Pro), which isn’t surprising because we use the same QT APIs under the hood.

but, Anystream Agility is somehow matching the original Avid source more accurately, so they must be doing some rescaling or adjustment.
