  • FCP project shrunk to half size, comparing projects

Hi, I have been working on a FCP project which was 115MB and after some housekeeping I got it down to 92MB. I have been doing sorting footage and it seems to of gone down to 47MB. I did delete some stuff but not that much. I had a look in the auto-save vault and can see that in one project it was 92 then the next day it shrunk to 47MB.

I am worried that I accidentally deleted a load of stuff. Have had a look and all seems OK. Is there a way to easily compare the two projects? Is there some weird type of internal FCP housekeeping that can reduce project size like this.

    Ben

With FCP you can open up many project files as you want. Just open them up and compare the contents in the bins. Take a very close look at the sequences. These use the most amount of space.
