    Hi
My question is a little complicated, I’m wondering if it is possible for 2 editors to work on the same project together. They’ll be working in different countries, one will be with the DOP of the short film and the other will be doing the “fine tuning” editing.
This is a very small budget film so can’t really afford to purchase expensive new software, we’re working on FCP 6.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

There are a few soulotions as I know. If you have the same source files than you can send only the project file the the DP. And he reconnects all the media. If I am right you want something like the offline/online editing.

There is a more elegant solution for your problem. This is known as FCP Server. I don’t know too much about it but It looks great. You can share all the footage and the DP can make the rough cut on the FCP Server client.

The last solution is the iChat Theater. When you make some edit and you share the result on iChat.
