  • FCP Project crashing FCP after Snow Leopard upgrade

Posted by Terry Kean on March 1, 2010 at 3:23 pm

I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and thought all was fine until I tried to open a very large project. Every other project opens fine, however this one crashes FCP at about 35% of loading. I’m running FCP 6.0.6 on OS 10.6.2 on a 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel machine with 8 GB RAM. I trashed prefs and verified/repaired permissions and no help.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

Did you do a full clean install as most of us recommend?

Erase your hard drive install the OS and all updates.

Install Studio and all the updates.

No I didn’t….I did see that that is recommended of course after I did the upgrade. Kicking myself now…..
Isn’t it odd that all the other projects open fine?
