Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy FCP project and .mov problems

    Yeah…don’t do that. Export SELF CONTAINED. Ref movies also reference render files, and if one render file gets tossed…something that FCP does when it is no longer referenced in a sequence…the reference file no longer works.

    REF FILES are meant as fast exports to get you out of FCP and into Compressor or DVD SP…just meant to be used for that short amount of time. Not for export and reimport into a project. For that, you need to export self contained files.

    yes i know i had made a mistake. i have to made with self-content…
    is there any ways to come out to the problem..
    is there any software or anything by which i can run my .mov (with self-content) play eassily…

    The current mov cannot be fixed. You have to delete it to get rid of this issue. And then make a new one.
