    Hello all

Can anyone recommend a reliable card I could buy for playing back a DVCPRO50
stream to composite/ntsc out in Final Cut Pro Studio? I rented a deck to capture the footage and now need to achieve an ntsc monitor preview.

I have read about the Fuse-X, heard good and bad.
Also the Decklink stuff. More pricey, but better support.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

You’d need the decklink pro at $595, so it really depends if that’s worth your while in the longer term – it also doesn’t do analogue ins. Ideally you want Component monitoring if you’re using analogue.

Decklink and AJA offer the best support and vaule IMHO – and the opinions of most others around here. If you were to get hold of an SD monitor with SDI input, you could get the $295 decklink card and get fantastic monitoring befitting a DV50 stream. Don’t go cheap on the monitoring!
