Thanks in advance for your considereation.

I am troubled by inconsistent P2 ingestion problems I have only recently been having. It seems that when it goes awry the progress bar will race to completion at about double time, sometimes not making it all the way to the finish. Even when it does fill up completely, the clip will not appear in my logging bin. Sometimes I find that a previousley error prone clip likes to ingest if I hit the “Add Clip to Que” button while it is already playing in the viewer. Other times I’ve had marginal success in getting difficult clips to cooperate by dragging them into the Que, or the logging bin if hitting the “Add Clip to Que” button has already failed. Confoundingly, not all clips can be pursuaded. Are these clips corrupt? If so why do they play in the viewer with no prob? Would the purchase of P2 Genie, or P2 Log be able to remedy this problem. Is there a Pagan rite that must be performed?
    Thanks again!
    Matt

I heard of this from someone else. They were having trouble with Final Cut 5.1.2. It seemed to be a problem which had cropped up with a newer version of the software. This didn’t happen with 5.04 which he had on another machine. I don’t know if you can backslush but it might be worth a try re installing from disc and not upgrade. Also there is a new version just out 5.1.4 which might fix this if you have the same issue

On another board someone said P2 Log did help as well as importing from disk instead of P2 Directly
