June 4, 2009 at 4:57 pmI use Soundtrack to import OMF’s and then export stems as aiff back to FCP.
if FCP had native OMF importing that would be a huge timesaver for some of us.

Yeah I was going toward the ST way or just consolidate from the one machine and bring it over.
I have always wondered if there was something outthere.
thanks

June 4, 2009 at 5:10 pmUse Automatic Duck’s Import OMF plugin. I’ve used it for over 4 years importing both OMFs from Avid and from FCP projects. Works like a champ.

June 4, 2009 at 5:15 pmOMF from what? Avid? ProTools? Then you need Automatic Duck Pro Import:

June 4, 2009 at 5:20 pmAutomatic Duck Import is part of a whole APP. Right. ie. not FREE .
Automatic Duck is great for sure. However I dont have it on these machines where I am currently cutting.
I am just going FCP to FCP. I will probably just consolidate that Specific SEQ and IMPORT in that onto the other machine.

What are you trying to do exactly? OMF from FCP to FCP? Since FCP cannot import OMFs, I’d recommend against this. But again, what exactly are you trying to do?
