    Hi there,

i am an fcp regular user on a g5 quad 2.5 ghz. I am evaluating a new workstation in addition to mine, and i need some advice.
Is it wiser to buy a g5quad or a neu intel xeon macpro is better (in both cases with a new fcp licence)?
Is it possible to ‘join’ the two workstation on rendering (i.e. during rendering task the load is balanced between the two machines)

thanks in advice for the answers.

Wiser to buy the newest and best…so the Intel MacPro would be the way to go.

And you cannot share the rendering across both machines for FCP. Shake, yes….but not FCP.

One note…make sure your current workstation’s FCP is all up to date. Both of your sytems will need to have the exact same version of FC if you want them to be able to open each others projects.
