    Hello
I’m trying to use media manager to output work on final cut to give to another person so they can work on these files on their computer then they give it back to me so I can add it into my timeline.

2 people working on one project. At this point when I save a sequence using media manager the other person has to re-render (write to video) before they can work on it then when i get it back I have to re-render again.

How can I use MEDIA MANAGER without having to re-render every time.

    Thank you,
    Steve Marshall

No, unfortunately render files are never correctly copied between machines or even to the same machine when using Media Manager. It’s best to tell it to avoid copying the render altogether, then just re-render on the other side afterward. That’s just the way it is and the way it always has been.

I just discovered that if I check the little “include render files” box it works perfectly. No rendering needed on either computer now. Can’t believe I missed that.

    Thank you,
    Steve

You’re the first I’ve ever heard for whom that actually works.
