    I’m a bit confused.
I try to get a bit deeper into FCPX and therefore I do need to look into the help menu sometimes. Not a problem, though I think to be online anytime, anywhere is not my thing.
So I’m online (otherwise I couldn’t send this post) and FCPX does tell me “The selected topic is currently unavailable.
To see all Final Cut Pro Help, you must be connected to the Internet.”

    Any ideas?

    Hi Andreas,

    If you follow this link:

    https://help.apple.com/finalcutpro/mac/10.0.1/

And then click the print button on top right of the web page and then rather than print – save it as a pdf onto your desktop, you will have constant access to FCPX Help.

Should the software be updated again in the near future you will need to do this again as the contents change with each iteration.

Let’s be clear though, it’s not a manual – just a it more than an overview.

I’m going to guess that Apple is making so many changes so quickly to FCPX that they don’t want to commit the resources to design a fully developed and properly indexed manual.

Wishful thinking maybe but it might mean a continued update schedule of every three months with significant features changes which makes the turnaround time on a complete manual a pointless waste of resources.

. . . or maybe there’s another reason some of you will creatively think of (ducks).

    Thanks for the answers.

I used the PDF print option, which works fine.
I am still a bit confused since can use the given links and search there while FCPX at the same time tells me that I’m not connected to the internet.

Looks like there’s now a PDF available for FCP X (for anyone who missed the other threads discussing this):
