    Hello,

Has anybody else experienced this issue? We got a 29.97 NTSC file from an outside vendor who was conforming our TV spot on their Smoke. When I pull it into FCP7.0.3 and match the sequence-settings to the file, the sequence ends up with no field-dominance selected. However, when we pull in to our own Smoke, the dominance reads correctly.

Is this an FCP bug, a Smoke bug, or a quicktime bug? Or are we just doing something wrong? (We ended up just forcing field dominance on the sequence in FCP and exporting again, which seems to look okay, but I’m paranoid until we hear back from DG that it passed muster.)

    Thanks for any ideas.

    Steve

Don’t know where the bug is but if it is on FCP then it won’t get fixed. The simple fix is to set the field dominance manually before dropping into the timeline.
