The camera has to be in USB mode.
[rand courtney] “Anyone have any links to something more concrete?”
Search the P2 forum. It’s there, many many times.

April 11, 2011 at 9:54 pmI changed the camera to USB mode and it doesn’t mount on my computer after that as it does in 1394 with a firewire.
I searched through the forums and really didn’t find anything to help me out.
I dont mean to be a pain in the ass but I am really trying hard here.

1394 isn’t an option as the FAT32 write option via fw does not work for some reason.
It does work in USB. The manual explains how to mount the camera via USB.
It’s been a while since I have had to do this, but it’s not very hard. It has to be in USB Device, not Host mode if I remember correctly.

April 12, 2011 at 1:34 amOk so I was able to load the data back onto the P2 cards using the USB option and then tried “repair” in the menu but the repair option wasn’t highlighted as an option for those damaged clips.
I was still able to completely view the audio and video of the damaged clips in the Log and Transfer window though. I really don’t understand what the problem is.
