FCP log and transfer woes
I’ve installed all the possible versions of drivers I can find and I can’t get SxS media to import into FCP 7.
I can see the card, but Log and Transfer won’t recognize it. I’m running 10.6.2 Is that the problem?

OK, I figured it out. I needed SxS Device Driver v1045050 and XDCAM_EX_Log_and_Transfer_Plugin_1_0_0
Sony really needs to streamline their websites, I got one file form the Canada site and one from Sony Europe. Each site offers different files, different information and different hoops to jump through to get them.

Don’t even think of trying to find anything on their USA site. I did a LOOOONG post about that a few weeks ago.

Sony is nuts not to market by way of their workflow improvements and educate their customers. Do they even want us as customers or do they just want to sell us product and have us go away? I use to love them, but I am really sour on Sony these days as they seem like a big uncaring machine.

This may be a stupid question, but did you down load sony’s log and transfer plug in to fcp? You can’t use fcp’s native log and transfer… I did that too and it does recognize the card
