FCP Keyboard Skin – Cover
In regards to a Graduate Journalism student with a new MacBook Pro 15 running FCP, a forum member (thanks Walter B!) has advised on purchasing a FCP Keyboard Skin versus a separate FCP Keyboard such as the $149.95 Bella Pro Series 3 FCP Keyboard.

Do forum members have any suggestions / opinions on a specific Wacom tablet to use in conjunction with a MacBook Pro 15 running FCP?
We were thinking about the $89 Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch to use with FCP versus a separate mouse or the internal mouse touchpad on the MacBook Pro 15.

With tablets, the biggest one you can fit and afford is the way to go.
For keyboards, we bought the logic keyboards, and they work very well. i use skins at home but just clear ones to keep the keys clean. You can also use keyboard stickers, which you can make and print out yourself, dirt cheap but will need replacing every so often.

Show of hands who remembers the keyboard stickers that used to come with FCP? Really bad stickers. They were clear and didn’t stick very well.

Not only do we remember the Final Cut Pro stickers – we still have the sheets – never put them on, went straight for the keyboard caps – but those were the days when they were trying to get us to use FCP.
