FCP HD will not recognise DVCAM
Hello,
I am in a rush to get a dvcam deck returned but my G5 running fcp hd will not recognise the dsr-30 dvcam deck via firewire.
Any thoughts? The DSR-30 has a audio outs but not a basic video out so I can’t even run it into a vhs player. -

The DSR-30? That has Composite and S-Video outs. Composite is BNC, so you might need an RCA adapter.

Are you using the DV/NTSC Easy SEtup in FCP? That is what you need to do in order to get FCP to recognize the deck.
