  FCP harware upgrade question …

  I need more RAM and hard drive space. I currently have only 1 gig of RAM and need only 1 250gig internal drive and three 250 external firewrie drives.

  I’m out of room now, dropping frames left and right, and it takes me forever to encode for DVD or video for the web.

  So is 3 gig ok if I’m editing multicam DVCPro50 and not doing a huge amount of copositing or graphics? I do use motion and livetype but not a massive amount.

  Then my question about hard drives. Does this sound like a good option? Any bad experiences or other options people could recomend?
