FCP GoPro file rejection
I’m trying to import files from my GoPro Camera into FCP, but it says it’s an unsupported frame rate. I’ve imported hundreds of files off of this camera before. The only thing that changed is I recently switched it from 1080p @ 30fps to 720p @ 60fps. Any thoughts?

What format does that camera shoot in? I have a hunch its h.264 and if it is you will need to convert to a proper editing codec before you bring files into FCP. You can search the cow for h.264 for more info.

I use one quite a bit. I’m on iPhone right now so the easiest thing to tell you is yes, you need to transcode to prores before editing. The GoPro site has a great FAQ that specifically addresses FCP. I’m guessing you wanted to do smooth slo-mo with the 60fps. They explain that too.
