  FCP Ftg Goes BLACK in 16 Bit Color Depth in AE

  Yes! Yet another bug with FCP! Ugh.

  Anyhoo, I captured my footage in FCP 5.0.2 with BlackMagic Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2, 720×486, 29.97. I import into AE 6.5.1, I switch my color depth in AE to 16-bit. When I try to view them in a Comp, it’s black. When I switch BACK to 8-bit in AE, I can see them just fine.
