FCP footage error in timeline
Hey guys and gals. Been trying to figure this one out on my own but haven’t been able to find out the answer. I’m baffled.
I’m currently editing a wedding. I’ve noticed something strange happening where after searching through the raw footage, creating a subclip or a section I like (in this case a slow tilt down of a wedding dress) and placing it in the timeline.
It initially appears in the timeline ok, but a few clips (not all) end up being a different shot that I didn’t even create a subclip of. Or I’ll render a section that looks normal in the timeline, and it will come out with completely different shots (albeit from the same project of course) than I had selected.
Below is a link (hope linking is ok here) to a snapshot from my time line.
1st file (original_clip): the shot I placed in the time line (in this case the wedding dress.
2nd file (secret_clip): without moving my cursor point I drag an edit it and shows the incorrect footage (the girl in the photo is 5 or 10 mins earlier in the footage). This is the underlying footage it thinks it is for some reason. Any ideas?http://www.renaissancerampages.com/Creative_Cow/original_clip.jpg
