    Hey all,

looking for any filters or tricks to make standard 29.97 HDV footage look more like 24p. Is adjusting the gamma curve in Final Cut the only way how?

How else can I achieve a better “film look?”

Have a look at Graeme Nattress’ G Film filters. But I hope you know that the ‘film look’ comes from many more factors than just some filtering, don’t you? 😉

    Regards,

Yeah, but my boss wants me to match up some non 24p footage in post, so I’m looking for quick-fixes.

Otherwise, yes, the look is better achieved in production, obviously.

    Thanks a bunch!

Nattress filters! Particularly the deinterlacing to get the p look.
