FCP failing to reconnect meida it recognizes
Working as an AE on a small doc and someone removed one letter from a clip name by mistake. FCP saw that the file went “offline”. When we’ve tried to reconnect to that file FCP accepts it as the timecode is all the same, but when we click: reconnect it does not reconnect. It stays offline.
Adding the letter back, restarting everything, and opening an autosave does not seem to fix this problem. Any suggestions?

But does anyone know really what causes this? My only guess is whoever removed that ONE letter had the FCP project open at the time and it couldn’t handle it or something.
