FCP EXporting to DVDSTUDIO 4 Pls Clarify – Confused

What camera shot this? Exactly what settings were used on the camera?

The question is what is the sequence framerate as well as the clips captured framerate? 23.98? If yes to both,

the best quality encodes will always be exporting the timeline to compressor. Make sure the frame rate is 24P and then field domin. is grayed out.

I always recommend the highest CBR bitrate that will fit on the DVD. (Audio is always encoded in ac3 at 192)

If your video is good quality your encode will be good. (Unless you are trying to get 3 hours onto a DVD-5)

I used dvx100b
scene 5 I believe it is .. But shot in 24p not the advanced mood.
But the regualar 24p format

So you are stating that using export – quicktime and then taking it into the dvdstudio pro 4 and have it compressed there is not as good as using the compresser? ???

Doesn’t DVDstudiopro 4 comrpessess the exported file even after the file is compressed via compressor? Or am I wrong?

To capture the footage I used dvx100b camera. I used scene 5 preset on camera which is 24p (Not the advanced mood in the dvx100b camera)
As for your other questions. I will post another .. to see if I can find that information.

I shall post in in couple of hrs. I’m not in front of my editing computer.
