    Hi there,

We are having problems editting to tape from a Galaxy-i RAID 5. There are also a lot of freezes that seem to occur at random times. Here’s the setup:

G5 DP2.5/ 2.5gigs/ 10.4.2/ Final Cut Studio (includes latest updates)
    ATTO FC3300 connected to a Galaxy-i RAID5

I’ve learned that replacing the FC3300 with an ATTO PS21 Celerity card fixes the problem I’m having, so I was thinking the FC3300 was broken or something. I tried installing another, completely new FC3300 but that gave me the same issues. This configuration was working flawlessly under 10.3.9 with FCP 4.5.
All the latest drivers/ firmware/ software is installed, 100% sure..

Anyone know of this problem and what causes this? Any help would be much appreciated!

    Regards,

    Boudewijn

Ive also posted this question many times and never recieved a reply.
Thought I must be he only FCP user that cannot play to tape or print to tape, even playing straight off the timeline it sticks
    Good Luck

    Hi Pete,

what are your specs? What did you try already? In my case it’s most definately the FC3300 that’s causing the issue as a Celerity PS21 doesn’t give me any problems. ATTO will now send me a beta driver to see whether that helps..

Always nice to know you’re not the only one.. 😉
