FCP Drop down menu VERY slow
Hello all: Its been a while since Ive had problems with FCP. I 100% consider myself VERY lucky to have had all but 2 (including this one) major problems.
Recently, out of the blue, the menu on my FCP started to act up. Very slow. If I hit the menu items, takes about 5 seconds to show up. This happens everytime. Has anyone experienced this?

*FCP Version 7.0.3
*Happens with any setup on timeline, etc… -

If trashing preferences for FCP doesn’t clear up things like this, then it’s likely time you performed a clean install and set up a new startup disk to clean things out. Seems to me this needs to be done periodically in any event, like once a year at least on a busy edit station.
