December 12, 2007 at 4:53 pmI have the same graphics card in a MacPro. (it’s not PPC but intel)
What are you seeing? I recently have had some display issues from FCP and I can’t really track it down to the graphics card, but it’s my first suspect.

December 12, 2007 at 5:03 pmWell since you have an Intel it may not apply to you, but two things.
1) there is a firmware update for your card (but not mine) available on Apple website
2) try download the free trial of Magic Bullet Looks or BCC5FXPlug. both work awesome in FCP but do not work in Motion 3. If you apply BCC it turns the clip black, or if you hit the edit button in Magic Bullet it will launch the other interface but does not pass the image through.
So far the best I deduce is that this is a problem with how Motion 3 is coded to handle 3rd Party FXPlug plugins and the interaction with the ATI drivers for this card. Since you technically have a different card this problem may not be reproducible on your system. Again this is all unconfirmed test, I am to placing blame on any of these product manufactures. BCC and Red Giant have so far been very helpful with me and all the testing that I have done. We are still looking for a solution.
Thanks for giving it a shot though,
