FCP chapters in Toast 9 ?
I once thought I had suceeded in exporting a FCP sequence with chapter markers and have them recognized in Toast, that is, have the chapter markers fall where I want them to without having to go through DVDSP.
I have seen many posts regarding this topic, but none seem to put a final answer on the issue. I once made a test which appeared to prove it posible, but now I am unable to repeat the procedure with success, as much as I test exporting in different ways (self-contained, not self-contained, all markers, chapter markers, DVDSP markers).
I found a post by someone back in the day, using Toast 6, saying that “lo and behold, Toast recognized the chapter markers I established in FCP”. So I am out to try this again and unable to so far… I am using FCP 6.06 and Toast 9.0. I know DVDSP is a far better program, I often use it, but I am trying to streamline a procedure for large ammounts of work being done by assistants and would much rather not enter DVDSP land, for pactical reasons.
In theory, exporting a Quicktime Movie (FCP movie) from FCP with ALL MARKERS selected, this would cover all my possible bases, right? Or should I try just DVDSP markers, or just CHAPTER markers? I have tried all, but seem to resist the awfull truth: someone tell me this is possible!
