    FCP canvas jitters on Apple 23″

    I have an issue with playback in the canvas window. When the resoloution of the Apple 23″ display is set at 1344 x 840 the playback is erratic. There’s an editor in our department who prefers this setting to 1920 x 1200, on which the canvas is playing smoothly. The output to the NTSC monitor is always fine. Thoughts?

    G5 Dual 2.5 w/ 2.5 GB RAM
    Lacie 500 GB FW800 Drive
    2nd internal ATA 200GB
    AJA IO

    Well, that’s an easy question to answer. LCD monitors all have an optium setting. For the Apple 23″, its 1920×1200. Anything less than that will be possibly blocky or jittery.
