  • FCP browser file limit?

Posted by Paul Kent on November 25, 2008 at 12:40 pm

    hey.

    I’m running a copy of FCP 5.1.4

I have captured tons of footage, but now the browser is simply not showing files..

I reach a limit of about 40 clips that show at any time, then the list will truncate and become invisible. This is extremely annoying. I have tried to put the files in folders, but I have over 60 hours of footage and this is simply unworkable. Anybody heard of this before?

    all answers appreciated.

There is a long standing bug that truncates the display. There is no actual limit to the number of clips in the browser. Try closing any open bins and quitting the app. Also trash your prefs.

    All the best,

    Tom
