    Hi guys,

I seem to have run into a problem. I am editing and using a MBP with 10.6.2. I am cutting on FCP 7, I have a 500 gb graid via fw800 connected directly to the MBP, then I have a 1tb WD my book daisy chained from the graid. I am constantly beachballing to the point where I either have to unplug the drive without ejecting, or force quit. Any help is welcomed. I am in panic mode right now.

    thank you

Thank you. I have disconnected the WD drive and the Issue continues. Then I would just connect the WD drive and same result. I have tried not daisy chaining them and it still beachballs. I have used the disk utilities to check the rights on the drives and everything checks out. Am I maximizing the port on the FW?

I have not trashed my preferences yet. It also does the same this with DVD Studio Pro. Beachballs FOREVER.
Should I still trash the preferences?

It can’t hurt to trash preferences.

The other you need to do is to run Disk Warrior on all drives. If you don’t have it, get it, it’s essential, and the best $99 you’ll ever spend.

Both now I believe, however the download version might not boot properly on some machines, and so may not run on your system drive. I’d run to any Mac dealer and get the hard copy. Make sure it’s the newest version too…
