FCP Audio render not working
Working in FCP 6, I have been unable to render my audio for playback. I have no idea what the problem is, considering I’ve done this before and it use to work just fine without doing anything differently. Command+R won’t work, Sequence>render all won’t work, and neither will ‘render selection’. Searched internet to see if anyone’s having same audio problems, but found nothing of this very nature. Anyone having this problem? If someone has an answer, it would be greatly appreciated! thanks.

You must have the colored bar for audio actually selected in those dropdowns and you must have your audio render disk set and there has to be room on it.
We see this question often and I still do not know why. but we do see it so you can search for the topic and similar terms. sorry can’t give you a firm answer myself but someone else might show up over the next day or more. Luck.

Thanks for ur reply but i think i figured out the problem. FCP wont render/recognise some mp3’s, due to their low quality. which explains why i was unable to render any music audio i imported. to anyone having this problem, heres the solution: in new project, import and drag .mp3 audio file to the timeline so its by itself. and export it to .aiff
