  FCP and P2

  Hello everyone,

  So, I’m working with a ton of footage that is going to go out to scriptwriters who need timecode to write their stuff.

  My question is: What is the best way to do this? It’s P2, so there is embedded timecode (I think?), but not sequentially like a tape, so what good is burning in timecode onto a timeline when it’s just clips? Do I work from the clips on the timeline and extrapolate what clips I use based on that? Does FCP have a plugin that burns in embedded tc and clip name? Maybe the technology hasn’t caught up yet.

  Any advice would be hot.
