FCP AND LANSHARE?
NOT SURE WHY THIS POST WAS MOVED TO AVID VIDEORAID FORUM? IT’S NOT A VIDEORAID IT’S A LANSHARE – BUT REALLY MY QUESTIONS ARE RELATED TO FCP AND LANSHARE:
Anyone out there running FCP on an Avid Lanshare or Unity?
I’ve got a customer of mine who is having issues where renders disappear when he clicks out of the application, when he goes back in all his renders are gone… anyone seen this?

Yes, we’ve seen renders disappear from many different media storage options. You might want to search here for “disappearing renders” and “unrender.” ONly you can determine if the situations are similar. Seems to be a major flaw (dare we say BUG) in FCP6 of which Apple claims to be aware and, one might say sarcastically, characteristically doing nothing. Yet.
