Fcp and avid: project compatibility
Hello everyone, i’m new to this forum. My first question is about a rumor i’ve heard about the possibility, in some matter, of using the project data between fcp and avid. I dont know if is a software or a way to do it, but it would be very usefull since i use for work two different station. Obviously you can do it with and edl, but i’d know if i can have plenty possibility of using one project for the two sistems.

There are multiple tools on there that allow you to open an FCP XML file on Avid and an Avid OMF / AAF file on FCP. We use the Avid OMF importer tool all the time here when we have to finish projects that started on an Avid. It works perfectly.

Do you mean that in avid i only need to import fcp xml project?
