  FCP 7.0.3 crashes when reconnecting media

  My FCP no longer highlights the appropriate file when it searches for media. Instead it takes me to the proper folder, and I have to select the file myself. This is annoying but I’ve been dealing with it. The real problem comes when it takes me to a folder which has a lot of files and I need to scroll down to get to the appropriate file. When I try to scroll, the program crashes. I’ve trashed the FCP preferences to no avail. Any thoughts?
