    Hey group,
    We are testing a workflow where we would edit shows in FCP7 at 23.98p (in ProRes) and then on-line (color, FX, etc.) in Symphony 6 at 59.94i (using ProRes media via AMA).

    When we open the AAF (made via Automatic Duck) in Symphony and promote it to 59.94 everything works but we get the wrong pulldown inserted. Instead of 3:2, it does the FCP-style frame duplication “pulldown”.

    I see that the “Field Motion” tab can be changed to “Interlaced” (from Progressive) for the individual clips. We tried that, and “Refresh Sequence”, but no change. Also, Field Motion parameter change can’t be done on batch basis, seems like.

    Does anyone have a workaround for this? Or a workflow, if I may be so hopeful? 🙂

    Thanks,

    //Jesenko

    Import the AAF in symphony in a 23.98 temp project.

    Then open the same sequence in a 59.94 project. It should then add the correct pull down using a motion adapter
