FCP 7 Sequence Setting Question
Hello,
I shoot with the Canon 5d Mark II, and my sequence setting tab “Compressor” is using Apple ProRes 422. I know others use H.264 for this setting, but I have a question: what is the difference? I accidentally switched over to this from using H.264 and nothing seems to have changed. So I’m wondering what the difference is….

Don’t edit the h.264 files natively with the camera with FCP 7. YOu need to convert to ProRes. I have the workflow for that here:
