Sorry if this has been asked a millions time, but I could not find an exact answer.

I have a project I’ve built in FCP 7 on my Mac, transcoded all footage to ProRes LT and labeled clips, etc.

I’m now bringing on another editor who uses Windows and Premiere CS6. I have Premiere CS6 on my Mac as well.

What I’m wondering is, will Premiere CS6 accept my ProRes files without transcoding, and is there any way to import my current FCP Sequence into Premiere CS6?

Also, the project will live on a shuttle drive, with the hope of swapping between my system and his… are Premiere CS6 projects exchangeable between Mac & Windows without problems? Or will it only be able to live under one OS? I have Parallels, so I can work through that I guess, but I’d prefer to work under Os X on my end if possible.

    Thanks for the answers.

Prores should work if you’ve installed the decoding codec for that and Premiere understands XML files exported out of Premiere. It will not bring everything in Premiere though like some effects.

    Google Prores for windows.
Download the codec and install it on the Win machine.
