  Fcp 7 on a macbook air vs macbook pro

  Will someone really see a dramatic difference in the performance of fcp 7 on a macbook air 1.7ghz i7 with 8gb of ram vs. a macbook pro 2.8ghz i7 with 16gb of ram??? Looking for maximum portability and willing to give up some performance but not if it’s too noticable. Thanks.
