  FCP 7 Clips are getting extended two or three times their length with black nothing

  Hey guys,

  So I’ve encountered a problem that I haven’t run into before in FCP 7. I have a few clips which seem to have gained some extra fat. Specifically, all the recorded media is in the clip(s) that are in the timeline, but then the clip(s) continue on 2 or 3 times their actual length on both the video and audio tracks. The rest of the clip is only black, and nothing in the audio portion.

  Now, I did sync up these clips using Pluraleyes, but the weird thing is that only a few specific clips were affected.

  All the clips are in apple pro res 422, 1920×1080, as is the sequence.

  If anyone has encountered this problem, I’d love to know why it is happening.
